The National Senior Riders Championship saw 18 starters, with only 6 progressing through to the thrilling jump-off on Day 4 at the British Showjumping National & Academy Championship 2021, held at NAEC Stoneleigh. This afternoon, the pressure was on when 4 riders secured a double clear in the jump off.

It was Suzanne Gill from Shrewsbury who stepped up to the challenge against strong competition aboard 12-year-old Intenable Du Forgeron, known as Ellie at home. Suzanne Gill explained: “My ride was unbelievable!” Suzanne continued: “I’ve had her [Ellie] since she was 6-years-old. I wasn’t planning on entering, I entered late, but it was well worth it!”

Completing the jump-off round in 43.27 seconds, the pair finished in style, followed by Jassy Pyke and Bon Amego in second place, and Katherine James and Isidoor in third.
