The FUSCO Eco Cob Championships

The Championship classes started off with the well supported and competitive Lightweight Cob Class. 18 combinations came forward under Judges Tim Wiggett and ride judge Samantha De Caprio. It was Vanessa Ramm’s Randalstown Designer Stubble who won took first with Hayley Gill and Chantilly Sandman in second.

The Heavyweight section went to Simon Reynolds on Claire Trebble’s Morrows Marksman with Oliver Hood in second with Master of the House. Morrows Marksman is known as Bentley at home and according to his team he couldn’t have a better stable name. “He always gives the judge a great ride, he has a lovely personality, has big movement and is an easy ride” commented his owner Claire. The seasoned Horse of the Year Show gelding with his eye catching set of socks was an armchair ride for ride judge Samantha De Caprio and went on to win the FUCO Eco Cob Championship with Randalstown Designer Stubble Reserve for a second year running at Stoneleigh Horse Show.

The Maxi Cob ribbons went to Caroline Mackness’ Country Seat and Elizabeth Bury’s Lord Alexander.
