Round up of the Pony Open classes on day one

Opening the Show in the first class of the day for Championship Arena 1 was the Yorkshire Metal Recycling Pony 70cm Open, won by 11 year old Scarlet Lilley from Surrey. As fourth to go in the class aboard her mother’s 12 year old mare Lilly Flight, the pair managed to hold on to their early lead to take the first win of the day.

The winner of the Pony 80cm Open was Hugo Hepburn, aged 12 from Somerset, riding Shamus. Hugo was sixth to go in a class of 60 starters with his first ride, Ashford Star. However, he then topped his time second time around with Shamus, heading up the leader board and taking the win.

The Pony 1.00m Open winner was Henry Nelson riding Ardnoce Lady. Second place was Sofia Coope riding Ronaldo XII and third place was Emma Woods riding Harradene Jade.

Pony 1.10m Open was won by Chloe Templeton, age 14 from Fife, riding Rockmount Casper. Second place was Charlotte Hollinshead riding Cape Clear Crystal and third place was Charlotte Thomlinson riding Rachra Lad.

Izzi Ryder took the lead early on in the Pony 1.20m Open as second to go riding Woodfield Fivestar. She was closely followed by Harry Wood riding Landlord III who came in second and Elloise riding Newtown Samson who was placed third.
